I dunno if I can wait for ChowdahQ '10 to get one of those, Curt! :) Nice
bit of Holiday whimsy.

Red and white with a bit of piping on the lower edge perhaps something in a
soft rust tone, to match my color scheme.

Any clever ideas to keep it in place at 80 mph highway speeds? Green florist

Anyone interested in one of these? One of my tenants manages a crochet
store, I was going to see if there was enough interest to get a bunch of
these made. I was thinking in red/offwhite, red/green and blue/offwhite

[MBZ] Bommelmutze fur deine Stern

2009-12-10 Thread tom tomscat

Hi Dwight,

Make them Surely you jest! I was figuring to commission Rolf to enlist
the services of his crochet shop manager.

As to the highway speed, I have had the 300D up to 85mph, ... and it still had
some more... but I never really wanted to push it past that... it's only 83
horses, or so I think, and nearly 35 years old now. I didn't want to tempt
fate.

BTW, I just dropped it off at a local MB mechanic who works out of his house...
to hopefully get his insight and expertise to address the oil consumption
issue. Recommended by a W123 fella I know. good W115 guys are few and far
between these days. My previous guy is down after having a stroke.

Maybe you're babied little ride doesn't do 80 but my 240D has been flogged up
to the redline (86mph) and held there many many times, sometimes for an hour or
more at a time. ;)

And then there was a hill.I love the 240D. Some article was titled how
to be modest for $21,000 (in 80s money) and I think that is one of the
best descriptions I have heard of the line. I might get one for commuting.

I am able to get Gump to her redline of 85mph. Will get there some
more once the parts I ordered from Rusty arrive. Any day now... and
