Dan,

Thanks for the referral. I'll put it to good use.

I'm single, kid out of college, mid life crisis long over.. time for a nice
Coupe turbo diesel Mercedes.. Likely the last I'll need, ha.

Well... maybe Kaleb will trade me that Cuban Gull Wing..we all know he
scored... ;))

 Grant,

You might try chatting up Randy Steele at EPS, Ltd. You can google that to
find his web site and contact info.

Randy has a warehouse full of NOS stuff, but I don't know how much of it
is W123 related. Can't hurt to ask.

Tell him I told you to contact him. That will make the prices go up, I
 suspect.

I had a W123 coupe once. An 85 model, it was fully dressed out and I
tweaked it as much as possible. Despite being a diesel, it would haul *ss
big time. Great car, horribly impractical with two growing boys. Sometimes
you just gotta take the plunge so you can have the experience, however

I suspect finding OEM rubber bits will be a true challenge, as well as
things like new factory tail lights and trim bits, so I'm starting early
 to
  source such things.

At the moment, I lean towards doing a build blog site, which hopefully a
computer literate friend will set up and run, just to keep a running
commentary and parts source list for the build. I'll advise you if that
  gets up and running.
My thought is it would be a handy place to house progress pictures, etc..

Owning a fully restored Coupe has been on my Mercedes bucket list for
years. Found this one here in AZ which has been lovingly owned and is
 body
perfect, so it's the right candidate to become The Coupe.

  Grant,
