Hmm. I know that when I took in my blue rhino tank, it would not physically fit
into the cage that the amerigas tank came out of. It was simply too tall.

A 20# tank at an exchange place only has ~ 15# in it, ostensibly for
"safety" reasons, even though the tanks are MADE to hold 20#(with some extra
room), and the OPD's are set to 20#... And to top it all they charge you
more for the lesser amount because of convenience.

Propane suppliers are $16-17. Exchange is $20. The 100lb tanks are

There is no such thing as home heating oil around here or home
heating oil delivery. Its electric or natural gas.

Kerosene sold pre-package
We've done it 5, 10 years without issue? Nothing clogs, you just have to
keep it clean like usual. IE, no biosludge/dirt/goop.

Ponca city still has refineries, we still have ours over there as

pump price of that kerosene is. I remember when we used to use it
in our torpedo heater in the back at autotrader it was a lot
cheaper than buying it in the cans,

I've never seen #1 in Okie land --- and the kerosene that I do see in stores
is $5/gal or more -- a lot of the refineries in OK have shut down - they
move to Houston --- don't know about Ponca City - haven't been there in
years.

It is gonna smoke more, and it will soot up your garage and your
lungs over time. Buy some # 1 fuel. It should be available in
Okieland. Drive over to Ponca, and maybe they will "spill " some
into a bucket for you.

Wow around my parts of the country, propane is $16-$20 for a 25 lb
BBQ tank and over $100 for a 100 lb tank. You are getting a DEAL!
It might BLOW ICE COLD if you use veggie oil. I think kero is a bit
lighter distillate than diesel? Maybe burns a little cleaner?

I would guess it would be smokey or sooty, or at least more smelly.
Might also overheat, more energy in #2 than #1.

If the manufacture says you can use diesel (without caveats such as "outdoors
only") I'd think it would be ok.
My hunch would be that it would be a bit more sooty/smokey but maybe not.
