I'm using a plastic 2.5gal. gas "can" now, I drilled a hole for the dip stick tubing, hot glued it in place, and just place the shop vac hose over the spout threaded opening. If you need to drill/ weld, yes. I think you could just pull the valve, add a nipple and coupling and other fittings. I think a jet pump fitting that has 1/8" tap lines for pressure switch and gauge would work well. Problem would be to get a dip tube from the oil inlet to the bottom of the t
