Oh, and another one.the cruise control...when I went to engage (push up) it it would accelerate like if I were pushing it forward. It would accelerate for a second then pause, accelerate for a second then pause, accelerate for a second then pause and it kept this up until I hit the brake.

IIRC the defrost (left most?) button ignores the fan speed setting and puts you into max fan for "full defrost". If you wanted windshield vent that responds to fan speed its the next button to the right. Still yours isn't working right, I suspect it needs a re-solder... -Curt On Tuesday,
