I tried that on the SL. Made a little dam from duct tape and squirted

I don't think you need to get the Kroil on the threads, if you can
lubricate the ball and seat, I think you'll find that's where the lug is
stuck.

I had that issue with my '84 190D. One of the wheels was actually bent from
being too tight. Interestingly on that car it was only one lug per wheel that
was an issue.Guy down the street has a 1" gun for big trucks, it buzzed them

On Sun,
Well that's too boring, nothing broke and nothing was set on fire? You need to
learn how to lighten up and have some fun!

I got the lugs off. After soaking in pb blaster the impact still wouldn’t break
the first wheel loose. Ended up getting a breaker bar, putting a long cheater
pipe on that and bouncing up and down on the end of it, they finally broke
loose. It ended up bending the shaft a little so the head was

The contact area of the ball & socket lug nut is much greater than a Cone
shape lug nut.
To break loose the ball and socket nut that is overly tight, you need to
stretch the lug bolt to

You could also get one of those lug-nut-looseners from
Blue wrench. Heat up the head of the bolt, it will come off like butter.

I did soak them in PB blaster. I am not sure if it actually gets down
in there though. Will try it again tomorrow. I probably need a new
impact anyway.

I was needing to pull the rear wheels off a wagon to replace the tires
and whoever last installed them WAY overt ightened them. Standing on the
MB lug wrench would not budget it. Put a long cheater pipe on it and
got one loose. Moved on to the next one and it actually started
twisting the
