I think it has been discussed before and the conclusion was that
refining capacity is the main problem.
Apparently there are tankers full of crude sitting in the Persian gulf
but the refineries have plenty of crude to process.
Our local refinery shut down a few years ago because it was not

While prices continue to rise, there are some experts saying proces will
fall somewhat during the next few months and could be back to$2.5 +/- in
1-1/2 years. At least that's the claim.
Anyone predicting the future has a high potential to be wrong.
