When I was in high school dad gave me his old '84 Ford Tempo. The trunk lock

out and opened the trunk with a big screwdriver. There was a technique to 
finding the latch from outside and once I figured it out I got pretty good at 
it. I never kept much in the car so it didn't really matter.People would try 
all manner of things to get into that trunk but to my knowledge nobody ever 
managed it. The trick was that dad had ground his screwdriver a little narrow. 
Most screwdrivers that were long enough were too fat to fit the hole...

I have a 123 that can be started with a variety or things.  My 
choice, outside the key, is a screwdriver.

She sent me a piccie of the instructions, I had it open in 5sec. Then I 
reiterated the instructions and she also got it open.

Which generation Smartkey is this?
I know how to slide the battery compartment out of a first generation (W210)
Smartkey but that's it for my knowledge
Please remind us the year/model of vehicle.
