 We've talked about airbnb. We're pretty close to the snowmobile trails so that 
would be our real market. Not much tourism in Caribou in the summer. Maybe 
being so close to the river we could bring in fisherman. Last summer the 
Arostook got so low I could walk across with knee high boots on...
The biggest issue with a wintertime airbnb would be keeping the place plowed 
out without having to run up there and do it myself.

Lots of nice land, none of it’s cheap, however. We’re looking at property in 
the Fort Valley area. 2.5 acre plots with a nice view of the mountains is 
$200k+ with utilities. We could put two homes on that, one for us, one for the 
youngster.

At least that’s the thought process at present.

Yes, I know how to travel. I would have avoided this week but they scheduled 
it, then they now have these office workers (aka travel team) book it. There 
were a hell of a lot more flight options to ABQ on American than there were on 
Southwest. The southwest flight was about $40 cheaper, and they appear to 
simply be booking whatever is the cheapest. 

Starting today they were back to boarding in groups of 30, at least in Tulsa

On American I get free checked bags and most of the time first class upgrades. 
If not first class I’m always on the extra leg room area up front. I checked in 
24 hours in advance and got a58, but was still stuck at the back of the plane. 
Not sure if people actually go by those or just board when they want.

Thursday and returned to Tampa yesterday, but both direct (Southwest) flights 
were on a 737-700. If you’re booked on a 737-MAX flight they’ll let you rebook 
for free if you want.

I figured if we were on one I would insist on asking the guys on the flight 
deck if they were OK with flying it. If they’re good, I’m good. The flight crew 
does not have a death wish.

Kaleb, if you’re a road warrior you know to avoid travel at certain times of 
the year, like over Spring Break. Or do you?

This was probably compounded because it’s ABQ - not a popular destination for 
most of the major carriers.
