a tankfull of water. This can be a direct replacement for gasoline.
However the powers that be can't figure out how to tax and regulate
it, so if you persist in doing it, you won't live long.

Actually, it's the perfect use for intermittent solar or wind energy,

It seems that it would be easier to build portable synthetic diesel plants and
move them to the old land fills around the country and create synthetic diesel
from all the methane that's available. Or tap into some natural gas where it's
not economical to transport. Or just build a plant in DC
Man its got to be inefficient, imagine the energy input required.
