What was it that caused Craig to have surgery on his neck? Randy On 1/9/2022 9:38 PM, Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes wrote: AKA spinal surgeon or whatever they are called. Been going on for years but I have very limited range of motion on my neck. Can not turn it very far from side to side, and the big struggle is can't lift head very far such as trying to look at something directly overhead like a car on lift. Also if drinking a can of soda or something like that, can't tilt head back far enough to get the last bit out while standing. If I sit and can lean back I can. Also, when leaned over a car working on something for a little bit of time, takes me a few minute so be able to stand back upright. Started off with ortho doctor who did xrays. I have arthritis and I guess bone spurs, some of which have grown to the point of connected vertebrae in 2 spots and trying to do it in a 3rd. Have some narrowing in the spinal canal in some spots which could be leading to some pinched nerves. This was discovered after I had a MRI. I was then referred to spinal expert. At first glance he says it appears I am going to need surgery. I am not really having any other symptoms I have noticed except for some possible weakness in a couple of fingers that might be part of this. Given I have this blood clotting deal and have to be on warfarin, there is really nothing he wants to do unless symptoms become worse. In other words, I guess I just have to live with stiff sore hurting neck. This then got me to thinking, I wonder if this is something a chiropractor could help with? Never been to one or know much about it. ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

That’s what contingency funds are for. When we were young we scraped to save the recommended six months of income. Fortunately, we never had to tap it, but just having it made decision making over things like this a lot less stressful. -D -D > On Jan 10, 2022, at 10:56 AM, Jim Cathey via Mercedes > wrote: > > >> >> Her problem is that she won't take a solid week off to let it heal. > > My brother broke his heel a few years ago. That sounds familiar. Spousal unit wanted to come out to Flagstaff to see if an extended stay would help her arthritis due to previous experiences/stays. Three-four days in she’s doing great, then she decides rather that turn up the thermostat she’s going to haul a load of wood in for the wood stove. And of course the result was a day or two of recovery. Duh! I had a very stern talking-to with her about it, so that’s that, but it’s much the same. “I know I shouldn’t/should do something to recover, but this is more important so I’ll do it and just recover on the backside.” Nope. Not how it works. -D > On Jan 10, 2022, at 9:58 AM, Curt Raymond via Mercedes > wrote: > > As we age that healing takes longer and longer.Angie over-did it at the gym > back in November and her sciatic nerve either got pinched or rubbed on. As we age that healing takes longer and longer.Angie over-did it at the gym back in November and her sciatic nerve either got pinched or rubbed on. It's been 2 months of discomfort and pain. Shoulders benefit from active therapy - even after rotator cuff surgery (which I had on each shoulder 11 years apart). The pain is quite powerful but the results are worth it. Might also ask if physical therapy could help, though I would assume they would have referred you if it could.
