Thanks for the report. Fixed in radeon_kms.c rev 1.60.

Here is the error message part:

initializing kernel modesetting (Rs880 0x1002:0x9715 0x17AA:0x3082 0x00).
r600_cp: Failed to load firmware "radeon/RS780_pfp.bin"

kernel: page fault trap, code=0
Stopped at config_detach+0x9d: movzwl 0x12(%rax),%ecx
ddb{0}>_

I clipped the first lines of dmesg, by mistake, so here they are:

Thank you.

dell# /etc/rc.d/samba -f start

i think '-D -D' is perhaps bad .

current snapshot kernel uvm fault radeondrm firmware not found

2019-04-19 Thread Mihai Popescu
Hello,

I have installed the recent current snapshot for amd64. After
finishing and rebooting I got some kernel uvm fault after some message
about radeondrm firmware not installed. The keyboard was not usable.

I had to reboot and disable radeondrm, then run fw_update -a by hand.
Things were back to normal after that. I didn't get that error at
previous snapshots, radeondrm firmware was installed at first boot. If
the exact error message is needed, I can reinstall or delete firmware
file and copy it.

Find an Intel support email and go ahead. They will tell you if it is too much.
Assuming there is possible to switch off the laser diode ...

hibernate and suspend work with the 19th of April snapshot! Thanks for
the heads up!

Would it be too much to ask to get this functionality implemented ?

I was dealing with a carrier the other day and we were dealing with bringing up
two ports on their network.

The question came from the remote end "have you shutdown the port as its still
showing up on my side", and indeed on the OpenBSD side carrier state was still
"active".

It seems to be the expected behaviour that when you put a port into
"administrative down" mode that it kills the carrier too  (indeed, I witnessed
this for myself, because the carrier downed their side for me instead as I was
unable to and I saw the carrier drop on OpenBSD).

Thanks !

SSL certpatch utility

2019-04-19 Thread Riccardo Giuntoli
Hello dear OpenBSD folks, how're you guys? I'm fine working a little bit
with our favorite OS.

I'm following the white rabbit doing a PTP IPsec between an old WindowsXP
virtual machine to complain QSL operations (
https://www.qsl.net/dl4yhf/speclab/settings.htm#special_drivers) and a new
OpenBSD macppc 6.4-stable.

To doing this i've done a samba sharing between the two machines, obviously
the XP is in a internal VLAN without Internet. I want to protect the
broadcast domain with an IPSEC implementation and i'm reading this old
guide:

http://the-eye.eu/public/Books/IT%20Various/winxp-openbsd_ipsec_tunnel-mode_vpn_with_x509v3_certificates.pdf

When it speak of XP keys and certificate it write about "certpatch":

 certpatch -t fqdn

I found it here:

https://svn.anytun.org/anytun/tags/anytun-0.2/keyexchange/isakmpd-20041012/apps/certpatch/certpatch.c

But i cannot find it in the new OpenBSD tree or in the NetBSD one.

What is the cutting edge implementation nowadays?

Nice Regards,

RG
