AFAIK (X)SVCD VBV buffer (Video Buffering Verifier) default is 224kB although some apps use 230kB for historical reasons. An important thing to bear in mind is that VBV buffer *not* the same thing as the decoder video buffer (STD_buffer)!! The VBV is, basically, an irrelevant 'appendix'
