Okay, so my friends and I went to the Granada lastnight in Lawrence. This
place, when not used as a concert venue for high quality uses by Modest Mouse
or Weezer is a "dance club" where overly hormonal,
way-too-hairy-and-sweaty-for-their-own-good "men" think that it's appropriate
to walk up a
So, does anyone know ANYTHING about Weezer playing in Lawrence? From that
one email a LONG time ago, it was tentative that they are playing on
September 7th...I can't find it anywhere on any of the webpages and I was
just wondering if the date was certain.
REALLY GODDAMN THRILLED
kelli
I'm going to be living in Lawrence and going to school at KU in September
when the show goes on. I must say that Lawrence is one of the greatest
college towns, with the exception of Austin, but we've already covered
that...I think the tickets are already on sale through Ticketmaster and
they'
forget the mouse!! in reading the ticketmaster page for ks, i have found
that motley crue, megadeth, and anthrax are ALL coming to play together in
august. i am so jazzed.
kelli
So, what are the odds that the Ticketmaster webpage is right and they really
are coming to Oz in September??? If it's true, my world will be officially
rocked. hardcore.
kelli
I used to live there, it's the best place on Earth.
this might be a bit late, i just got back from vacation but...
i just finished naked by david sedaris and although i absolutely loved the
first 9/10ths of the book and it made me laugh out loud, i was a bit
disappointed by the end.
kelli
what's this i hear about weezer playing does anyone have details? i
would WALK to cali to see them play (from kc) and if someone could help, i
would really appreciate anything!
heart,
kelli
that's absolutely nauseating.
What's the Rocket??
kelli
p.s. I opened up this month's issue of SPIN (Matchbox Twenty is on the cover)
and there's a 1 page article about the Mouse...YAY!!!
I'm really glad that I went out of my way to see them. The show was
everything I expected and more, I only wish they had played trailer trash.
yeah, those girls yelling their "i love you"'s to Issac were annoying, you've
just got to stop being 12 at New Kids on the Block concert at some point
oooh the animosity! we all have our different tastes, some people just have
the ability to respect some bands whether they like their particular style of
music or not. be nice, we all love the mouse.
kelli
yeah, they had just gotten their transmission fixed here in Kansas city
before they left and it broke in Canada and the guy in B.C. fixed it but it
broke down again in Big Rock, Wyoming and the smooth talker that Jim, the
drummer, is, spotted an old couple in a Winnebago towing a minivan with
My cousin is engaged to Justin Roelofs, the lead singer and guitar for the
Anniversary...they're on a 6 week tour of Europe with the Get up Kids right
now, i doubt they have any idea just how famous they'll be when they return!

My sister and i are making our way to the show on saturday night in Chicago
and we'll be there all day saturday...any suggestions on any interesting
record/thrift/neat shit stores I'd really appreciate it! OH, just in
case any of you going didn't get the reminder from Ticketmaster, the sh
I'm not sure if we're still on the have-the-get-up-kids-sold-out thing or
not, but i'd say they haven't. i'm from kansas city, their hometown, and a
couple of weeks ago they played their last show before their japan tour this
spring and i must say it was amazing. they played 2 straight hours
so, is anyone on here from the boring little midwest like me? i'm from
overland park, kansas..quite possibly the most boring suburb in the world
although just about 15 minutes away we have olathe which, TADA, has a waffle
house! yeah, so, those are my thoughts
*kelli*
p.s. does anyone
