mod_perl 1.28 source. I'm running Apache 1.3.26 on Linux
2.4.18 (Slackware 8).
I really appreciate any help anybody can give me.
Thanks!

This has me totally lost. I've never had something compile with no
errors, but I don't get a file. If I don't get any errors, that usually
means the file is there.
Thanks!

with the LoadModule
perl_module libexec/libperl.so line, none of my sites are accessible.
Also, the AddModule mod_perl.c line gives me a warning that mod_perl.c
is already added. As soon as I comment those two lines and restart
apache, the sites load again. :-/

I am sorry if this is
an obvious answer (IE I didn't read the FAQs thoroughly enough) but I am new to
this stuff and some of that info can be overwhelming at times. Also I hope
this is the right mailing list because it seems to be a mod_perl related
problem

have a Template.pm on my system anywhere.
Seems to me this should be right in plain sight, but it's late here.
Thank you.

could I have gotten an error
from DocSet/Util.pm? It was late for me, perhaps I missed seeing some
error message? I'll try it again when I have more time.
Thanks.

It has long frustrated me that there was no mod_perl module
documentation, in the style of the standard Apache module documentation.
I don't mean to bash the docs that are there - clearly, they are of
exceptional quality. But I wanted something like the standard module
docs.
So, rather than

I'm trying to get my Apache Web Server to read *.pl files using mod_perl
(standard Linux-Mandrake 7.2). Under perl, it works fine and, indeed, in
httpd-perl.conf, it shows
Alias perl /var/www/perl
Directory /var/www/perl
SetHandler perl-script
Yes. I've tried this, as well... No luck, though.

If the modperl LoadModule line is commented out of http.conf, the error
fails to appear. I am not sure if Apache, modperl or Perl is the cause
of this error.

Hello,
I can build Apache 1.3.11 with mod_perl 1.21 without any difficulties
using mod_perl. The problem comes in when I try to incorperate mod_ssl
or mod_jserv. I can build Apache with either mod_ssl or mod_jserv
without any problems. (I haven't tried yet combining both mod_ssl and
mod_jserv
and changing the search path by the time
it gets down to the module binary ?
All help appreciated.
--Rich
that ORACLE_HOME/bin was not on the path. How is the
environment presented to the modules from Apache ? Is it not the
same as the environment that Apache runs in ?
