Alan, Sotheby's had the 1960 version with the English title in the top white border. I only know of two copies with this imprint (and I sold one of them years ago), so the term 'very rare' certainly is appropriate here. Generally speaking, this is not a 'very rare' poster if compared to many

A further thought.. The catalog describes this poster as being very rare… maybe that should open up a discussion of what very rare is… I don’t think this is a very rare poster… If you happen to have one that’s dated 1959 rather than 1960.. That might fall into the very rare category. On Fri, Feb

Wow. I had a fair number of these over the years, and looking at these prices, I probably lost at least a quarter million dollars on my sales… Since the Corona crisis started, the movie poster market has been stronger than ever, but these results are outright ridiculous. $50,000 for a LA DOLCE
