This is so very sad. I was in Brooklyn last summer for the Dark Shadows
convention and Mr. Frid was there. The room was packed to capacity and he
was charming and funny. Fortunately, I was able to attend quite a few of
these DS festivals when they were on the East Coast and he was often in
