We piloted it this year in our middle school. Supposedly it is being purchased
for next year. The program we used it with was AIS. We found that it gave us
good information to plan lessons that addressed the students needs.

I'm also a reading specialist in NY. We use the state ELA test and the MAP
test. According to what we've been told the students are compared to students
on their level so as long as growth is shown that is equivalent to other
students there is not a problem.

Recently our new middle school schedule was unveiled for next year and it is
cutting ELA time in the whole school but especially in our 6th grade.
Currently our 6th graders have two periods of ELA so that we can adequately
cover
both reading and writing. Next year we will have one period a
