This morning I birdwatched from just before sunrise until about 9:00am at
Wisconsin Point (lot 1). I observed an immature Bald Eagle trying to
chase/pursue a distant jaeger, and at times this jaeger turned and seemed to
pursue the Bald Eagle briefly. What a unique sight to see. Also, my good

It's again that time of year when the MOU Awards Committee is looking
for nominees to be recognized for their contributions to the Minnesota
Ornithologists' Union. This annual tradition of recognition takes the
form of presenting the Thomas S. Roberts, Bro. Theodore Voelker, and
Young Birde
This morning I birded Lake County from Knife River to Castle Danger
with Kim Eckert and saw a few good birds:
Ross's Goose - immature at Burlington Bay (it's probably spending
time foraging on the golf course, too)
Surf Scoter - two flybys at the Knife River Marina and one at
Burlington Bay in
