Is this a wild bird? I observed the bird yesterday (6/6). While viewing it, it was flushed by another duck and flew about 100 feet away. So it can fly. I also observed that both back claws (dew claw?) were intact. This was a reason that the Smew in Rochester was judged to be an escape some years
