The Wright County Snowy Owl is present as of 1:55 pm today. The bird is
sitting on top of an irrigation system in a field in the northeast corner

Ruddy Turnstone .5 mi north of the Rum River along CR 7. Also present were
10 Black - bellied Plovers, one Dublin and several pipits.

Dedrick Benz and I queried the sightings database at moumn.org last night
and discovered that a Black-necked Stilt was found yesterday at Miller Lake
15 miles west of Clarkfield along Hwy 67. It was still present at 7 am this
morning.

Today around 2:20 this afternoon I found an adult Say's Phoebe in downtown
Ortonville. The bird was found in the backyard of 877 Main (MN Hwy 7), this
is at the intersection of Hackberry Hill Rd and Main. It's a small gray

The flock of 9 White-faced Ibis' has turned out to be 8 white-faced Ibis
and 1 Glossy Ibis. The flock finally came very close for viewing with great
light this morning. We confirmed that the bird had a dark iris. Photos will
be posted hopefully tonight.

This afternoon around 1 o'clock Diedrick Benz reported to me that he found
two Franklin's Gulls out on the river. I refound them shortly after. They
were just up river from the interstate bridge where the barge area begins.

On Thursday (May 24th) I was doing some birding up north. I was driving
along CR 8 northwest of Baudette. I stopped to check out some ducks in an
inlet along the road and clearly heard the Peter Peter Peter call of a

Saw a Northern Mockingbird just north of Grand Marais. Location is just off
Hwy 61 north of town near small apartment complex and small yellow house
with bird feeder. There were many White-crowned Sparrows, White-throated
Sparrows, Chipping Sparrows and one Lincoln's Sparrow at the feeder. I saw
