loons flamingos owls and such) always modest and kind!

I too benefited from Warren Nelson's kindness and county birding knowledge as I
began to discover Aitkin County (which, for those new to the hobby, is an
absolute jewel).

want to meet...and incredibly humble!His bird photography is stunning...and his
Yellow Rail photos were some of the best ever taken of this species.Incredibly

Butch Ukura called me today with the information that funeral services for
Warren Nelson will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 6, at First Lutheran
Church in Aitkin, 107 Second Street SE. There will also be a visitation from
6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 5, at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funera

Sorry to bring some sad news to those of you who know Warren Nelson of Aitkin,
but I recently learned that he is seriously ill and now in a Minneapolis
hospital. Accordingly, those who know him might have some extra time on this
holiday weekend to visit, call, or write him, which I'm now told he
