The last two rain days have given me time off from Hawk Ridge to sort jaeger
photos taken at Wisconsin Point. It has been an amazing fall for jaegers, with
five Parasitics showing up on the early date of 13 August, and I have been able
to see multiple jaegers every subsequent trip through at
I arrived at the first parking lot at 9:30am and met a birder from Madison, WI
and a MN Birder name Dan C. We spotted the adult Long-tailed Jaeger chasing
Ring-billed Gulls and the jaeger pretty much stayed in the area until Jim Lind
and Peder Svingen showed up.
At one time the Long-tailed
I received a report this morning that all 3 species of jaeger are
being seen from parking lot 1 at Wisconsin Point in Superior, WI.
These include the adult Long-tailed Jaeger reported yesterday by Erik
Bruhnke plus 2 Pomarine Jaegers. From a Minnesota lister's point of
view, this location
