Spent an hour, or so, circumnavigating Pelican Lake in
Wright County to no avail. The DNR has drawn the lake
down, but none of the places where there is access on
either the east for west side produced the type of habitat
that

I found a Carolina Wren in Two Harbors today, along the old fenceline
to the west of the Edna G. tugboat at Agate Bay. I put a very blurry
photo on the Recently Seen page.

The question it brings to mind is, are these numerous metro BLGR sightings
a function of more birders doing the observation, an isolated seasonal
weather-pattern, or a range-change due to climate alteration? Also, given
their habitat preferences, are we creating more of what they like, in
pursuit
Last week I had terrrible looks at a blue grosbeak at Shakopee gravel off
of Canterbury roadIt flew before I could document it and I doubted
myself later since the view was so quick and in terrible lightI went
