instruments with different frequency constants. There are some drivers on a PC written by Yamaha that are using the patch table in a correct way, but it I am not capable to reverse engineer them. If someone is able to do it, please go on! By the way, I have started to make a new midi player

All samples in the ROM are all 12 BIT... That's not the problem. What yamaha didn't provide is the patch tables... The sample information (bit's per sample,envelop data,loop, start and end address) is stored in the ROM itself. Maybe you should try again??? I don't see why they won't give docs

Well, there is, at least, one MIDI player for Moonsound. The reproduction isn't very good, but it is the 0.xx version. The autor is Joon-Sung Kim, and the program can be downloaded at http://unity.kaist.ac.kr:8080/ . Manuel, I think it is a good link to put in the MSX FAQ. -- Toni MSX
