  Welcome to the list!

Gracias por la bienvenida y saludos.

I can see your account is at teleline :)
  You _are_ Spanish... :)

 Cierto, lo soy

I'm not an MSX "guru" but I would recommend
Compujuns msx emulator with which you can
  access the hd.

y www y no lo he visto.

Nobody is stopping you to make one...

Though, I consider KUN-BASIC rather integrated with the powerfull MSX
BASIC
interactive development environment. You can use the MSX BASIC IDE to
write,
test, run, save and load kun-basic programs, without having the need to
start
separate editors, compilers and the whole lot...

The MSX BASIC environment sure has its merits, but I _really_ find the
hassling
with linenumbers etc backwards. An idea could be to develop a completely
new
MSX BASIC version (would be v5.0 or something?), which has

- no linenumbers (yes!)
- long variable names
- user defined types
- subroutines, procedures and functions
- possibility to build and link libraries.

An IDE could still be possible, e.g. something like the original Turbo
Pascal
IDE! I started thinking about it a couple of years ago, but - as with many
ideas -
I didn't work it out: no time, other things to do.

Even when using NestorPreTer, the final result is a BASIC *interpreted*

Hi to all of you,
we, member of ICMiri Group, are prud to present our ICM magazine on CD ...
for more info, please, read the following:

On THIS CD ROM

Here we are! You are about to discover the content of this first
Magazine MSX on CD Rom, Created from the collaboration and from
the efforts of the ICMiri Group Italy! It looked as if it is not
ever arrived at the end, the ideas really was many, but the
resources to disposition and the time there has allowed to do a
product really beautiful but that surely will be better in future.
For first thing, what is the ICM Magazine on CD Rom. It represents
the exploitation of the resources of a Personal Computer for
obtain something regarding only the MSX! There do it seems a
contradiction? To us no, think to it well, by now everybody has
a PC and some of them also a MSX, we have therefore thought of
put the two belongingses together for create a multimedial product
that speaks only about MSX, and some parts of the cd works also,
with some limitation, on the MSX system! Multimedial? Certainly!
If you check on the cd, or directly through his management menu,
creation from us, will find varied sections (directory): from
the filmed in Real Video to the images, to the magazines in PDF
ENTIRELY To COLORS and printable, to the games and to the audio
tracks! Particularly relatively to this one, we advise you that
if you will insert this CD on a common audio CD Reader or you
will use a program able to play audio CD on your PC/ MSX
(we have connected the CD Player of Windows to a button present
in the window of right), you will notice that there are different
audio tracks! Fantastic! But now we can speak about the structure
of the CD and his program of management. This issue it is ispired,
as you can see and listen, in a particular way to Konami.
I list briefcases and meanings:
Client:In this directory you will find any programs for PC that

Films: Contains any filmed in fully grown .RM made by our friend
   Italo Valerio
Games: for someone perhaps the better directory.
In this one you will find many games directly ready for use
(u only need to copy it on a 720Kb floppy and use on your MSX),
probably someone also works from CD!
   Cheast/Demo: some graphic/musical demo
Promos: some promo of old and new games
Msx1: Disk- decompacted games ready to use
Konami- Konami games ready to use
Rom- files in .ROM format, this one works with the
relative utility called LOADROM also on the CD
Msx2: Disk- decompacted games ready to use, some of these is

RE: information about PAINTER.ROM

2000-03-03 Thread frits

I found the problem with PAINTER.ROM .
This little program isn't to happy when I configure a 4 Megabyte mapper
in one of the slots/subslots. The MSX2+ configuration that did work
had only a mapper of 512 Kbyte.

Changing the 4 Megabyte mapper to 2 Megabyte did the trick. I found
out that 'PAINTER.ROM' is somehow trying to find out a mapper size and
that 'hangs' the system.

I'm looking for some information about PAINTER.ROM and
specifically information about emulating this ROM.

I know it is a ROM of 64 Kbyte that has to be loaded
in a main slot or sub slot starting at address h.

But when added within NLMSX and the command 'CALL PAINTER'
  is given, the MSX hangs.

Maybe there is something wrong with the context. Should
  I use MSX2+ roms instead of MSX2 ? Or something else ?
