Gracias por la bienvenida y saludos. I can see your account is at teleline :) You _are_ Spanish... :) Cierto, lo soy I'm not an MSX "guru" but I would recommend Compujuns msx emulator with which you can access the hd. You can use the MSX BASIC IDE to write, test, run, save and load kun-basic programs, without having the need to start separate editors, compilers and the whole lot... The MSX BASIC environment sure has its merits, but I _really_ find the hassling with linenumbers etc backwards. An idea could be to develop a completely new MSX BASIC version (would be v5.0 or something?), which has - no linenumbers (yes!) - long variable names - user defined types - subroutines, procedures and functions - possibility to build and link libraries. An IDE could still be possible, e.g. something like the original Turbo Pascal IDE! RE: information about PAINTER.ROM
I found the problem with PAINTER.ROM . This little program isn't to happy when I configure a 4 Megabyte mapper in one of the slots/subslots. The MSX2+ configuration that did work had only a mapper of 512 Kbyte. Changing the 4 Megabyte mapper to 2 Megabyte did the trick. I found out that 'PAINTER.ROM' is somehow trying to find out a mapper size and that 'hangs' the system.
