My subject should be self-explanatory, but what I want to know is how to
make a screenshot (of MythTV running) Live TV, especially when the OSD
is active. Thanks a lot,

Enable OpenGL vsync, bob deinterlacer and Xv or XvMC output. Gone is
your jerkiness :) The vsync btw is very important, or else the image
will start jittering up and down a pixel, which could give you even a
bigger headache.

I reckon that it must have something to do with the 0.18.1+ code,
because on 0.18 everything ran smoothly. Since I compiled the 0.18.1
release (from the website) and used it, the playback of recordings
freezes after a few seconds. Everytime I have to stop it and press play

Yes, but for at least as many Europeans as there are Americans, the

For a good image quality: do not use SiS. The chip doesn't support any
form of vsync control, neither hardware or software; even a
vga-rgb/scart cable doesn't give optimal results. Therefore, tv-out

Hi, I created MythCenter and intended it to work with the Trebuchet MS
font (part of the ms corefonts). Set your resolution to 800x600 and
MythTV font sizes to default values (small:12,medium:16,large:25). I
didn't set any dpi settings in my xorg.conf, so with all these defaults,

Excuse me for not being up-to-date; but I see several posts that
mention a rewrite of the theme/ui engine. As I am planning an update to
my MythCenter theme, I probably want to wait for this to be
implemented. Can someone give me some details or a link about it?
Thanks,

Hi,
I am a Pundit-non-R user (SiS graphics chip) but I have been asking about
the same issue on both lists over and over again.
The reason for the flickering to occur is, that the fields are sent to the
tv-out in a frequency that is most likely to differ from the tv's
frequency (50 Hz) and start
- I want full field rate in video playback; to my knowledge, using
bobdeint is the only way to achieve this;
- bobdeint requires a form of vertical sync, which as far as I know the
SiS driver cannot support.

People,
Please read the following: http://www.100fps.com/why_bobbing.htm
I am seriously doubting the correct implementation of the 'Field Bob'
filter (as this website calls it) in MythTV's bobdeint, because this
occurs in every single show I watch up till now, be it a recording or
Live TV.
I made a 2 MB bios flash bootable cd image for the ASUS Pundit which
works neatly, but you need to input the bios file name when it's
booted... maybe you could teach yourself the keystrokes to operate it
blind or add a batch file to the cd image which does that for you.
It contains bios

Well I've got a Leadtek Winfast A180BT GeForce MX4000 which is NV18

don't care, but when I tried the S-Video output it was horrible.
Now use your video card's TV-out, enable Xv (which is generally
hardware accelerated) and set the resolution to 720x576 if you are in
