I'm using one on a one-tube board I am making (a bit excessive for one
tube, but it is small, 5V and can sink a decent current). At the moment I
have one on a breadboard. They work as advertised! I picked up some
Adafruit QFN44 adapters from digikey and had a stencil made to do the
reflow with:
I posted it just because it might be interesting to see this
Yes the price is crazy, and personally i never would buy a tube for that
price, its just not relative...
I own a GI-IIB Engineering Sample and that was nearly for free because the
seller wanted it to have a good place not make a for
Requirement fulfilled from sunny California.
Many thanks!

That is sheer negligence in the case of GSP to pack it in such a way that
damage could happen. Glad to see you got the matter resolved and good luck
in finding someone to restore the damage to such a nice radio.
I ship clocks via TNT fully insured delivery and, touch wood, have not had

OK, I can see WHY (because it's rare and it feels good to own the only
known existing tube in the world), but it doesn't provide anything more
than pride of owning it. The money is just too serious to buy it as a
paper-weight, at least for me.

...and at a whoping 1000 EUR. I think it is quite interesting, but I
would hardly call this a lab sample. It is a small variation of the
usual internal structure, and the exhaust tubulation looks somewhat
semi-professional. I doubt it would sell for more than 200 EUR in an
auction to be honest.
This is a bit insane. I understand that this tube is rare and all, but as
this is just a single of unknown properties (it might have gas composure
resulting in short life) I can't think why would anyone buy it - with that
money, you could buy a set of 6 Z568Ms!
If this thing ends up being sold
There is currently a ebay acution for a Z6580M lab sample...

Hi folks, off-topic question: has anyone around here experience with the
website newspapers.com? Is it a legitimate website, or is their "7 day
free trial" (where you have to put in a credit card) just a scam?
Cheers
