I am using net-snmp 5.4.1 for subagent development. When i start master
agent(snmpd) with command
/usr/local/sbin/snmpd -Dread_config -Dagentx -c
/usr/local/share/snmp/snmpd.conf -x tcp:localhost:705
It shows following error/warning

We have an installation using both net-snmp on Solaris and Emanate
that comes installed with the machines, as Emanate gives us some extra
info.
When we start the Emanate agent after having started the net-snmp
agent the following message pops out and Emanate won't start:

As well as the platform your running on, are you sure your agent works and snmpd is running correctly?
You can turn on the voluminous debug messages provided by snmpd and snmptrapd which should show in excruciating detail what they are doing. Look here for a way to cut through the chatter:
