Right On! I found Alsaconf, ran it, no sound, remembered to adjust the
mixer settings (duh) and things are sounding.

I am running Mandriva 2007 with latest Postfix and Procmail and
Spamassassin. I wish to expand mail to allow downloading of messages on my
LAN, as well as the viewing and sending of messages through the web server.
There are so many choices, and I'm looking for advice as well as any
POP3 or IMAP?
Cyrus or Dovecot?
Squirrelmail or Horde or something else?
I don't know what is 'best', but I found IMAP as protocol, courier-imap
as server and Squirrelmail as webmail the easiest to set up.
