Hey Jon, are you putting a non-stock type decal. If that's the case, then anything goes. Whatever looks best. But if you want to look at all the Nighthawk decals side by side just go to this website, which is CB Decals. com Paul *Paul

I've got a great 82 750SC, but I later bought a VTX so I need to let one go. I don't want to spam a discussion group, get in any scams off craigslist or pay for ebay so what's my best option to find a Nighthawk fan who wants a good bike? Is it permissible to list in here? If not, my apologies

I can't really answer that but Rpm should be around 1200. You know the carbs are not right and this only happens at the really low rpm. I'd rectify the carburetor issue first. Even though you are getting a set of rebuilt carbs you will still need to sync them. Do you have a manometer?

I'll third the make it permanent comment - my battery tender leads double as a plug in point for a power point (cigarette lighter style) for my phone or GPS. Ironically - I've never used them as a battery tender as I pull the battery out during the winter to keep it warm.. -Joey -Joey Kelley

Hi Jared, welcome to the group! Battery chargers for cars/trucks can start boiling a motorcycle battery before too long. Dave is right that it is SO convenient to have the wires of a battery tender hooked permanently to your bike. Between motorcycles, a scooter, my riding lawn mower and my RV

Make it permanent. I my experience anything over 0.5 amp is too much and if left on might damage the battery. On 6 April 2016 at 15:25, Jared Clifton wrote: > I just bought my first bike, a 1983 Nighthawk 650. Love it! I was looking > into hooking up a battery tender

I just bought my first bike, a 1983 Nighthawk 650. Love it! I was looking into hooking up a battery tender to it, and I have a question. I have a Black and Decker charger that will go down to 2 amps and auto switch to float charge, but it only has alligator clips (obviously made for car

Could be that the rear tire is not aligned properly. Just because the adjusters show that they are even doesn't mean the tire is perfectly straight. Here's what I do- I bought this from Cycle Gear (http://www.motionpro.com/product/08-0048), then I removed the rod and glued on a small bullet

Yea, the carbs are all varnished and leaking like hell. Rather than taking them apart, replacing the gaskets and soaking them in solvents, I just bought a set of refurbished carbs from a guy on ebay that does carbs. The money doesn't bother me, it wasn't that much. So do all of these bikes
