So who here has done a ferry crossing on a bike? As I mentioned in
the Iron Butt\random topic thread I wanted to take a day trip up to
Canada and then take a ferry back across old Erie to Sandusky and then
home. I discovered the ferry only runs to Sandusky through the end of
September and won't
Hi,
I've done a few without incident. Most of the time the ferry guys will put
you at the back of the line so you aren't mixed in with the cars. Put out
your side stand and enjoy the trip. Good luck!

Do a few hour to 2 hour rides before trying anything like that Build in a
10min stop for every 30min to hour depending... Basic tools wouldent be bad,
cash, EXTRA WATER Mabey snacks depending if you have bags/trunk or just

Doing some 2 hour rides is good advice. Plan your trip out as detailed
I've rode the Galveston ferry, not as much fun as I thought it would
be. The deckhand didn't know anything about bikes, put me on the far
right side of the boat so the slope of the deck meant I couldn't leave
the bike on the kickstand. The seagulls circling overhead made me
nervous as well :P
