[ns] NS not exiting
Hello, Plsss Who can tell me what is wrong with my ns 2.34 alliinone package - If i run a tcl script, it generates a trace file but it does not exit. i can get my the performance metrics with the trace file but I don't know whether they are correct as NS2 hangs after it does this cmd on the terminal; channel.cc:sendUp - Calc highestAntennaZ_ and distCST_ highestAntennaZ_ = 1.5, distCST_ = 550.0 It is installed on Ubuntu Plss I need it workin for my presentation on Friday. I am not very good with ns2 but as far as my knowledge goes the problem is with
the setdest command try to run the script with preset coordinates first to make
sure that there is no problem with the script itself then check if the
coordinates used by the setdest are within the topology size that you
specified and check if the command is written correctly it seems that the
arguments used for setdest are not correct. My advice with ns2 start with a
very simple script that works and add to it little by little so that you can
trace where the error is if you encounter one. Good Luck

Hello, Find attached the format of my .tr script in NS2. I need an awk script that can help me generate throughput giiven the format of the .tr script. I guess someone must have used the awk script before in his work. Pl do send it across to me immediately. [ns] How to uninstall JDK version 1.6
Plsss how do I remove the ff version of Jdk from my laptop; java version 1.6.0_20 I installed this as a prerequesite for installing bonnmotion 1.4 but anytime I try to generate a scenario, i get the error msg bm: command not found. The JDK versn recommended in the bonnmotion tutorial is JDK 1.5.0_18 so I guess it might be the problem though I am not sure. Plsss any idea on how to resolve this? I am waiting

Ok but chk out the scenario; I used bonn motion to generate rwp, rpgm and gauss markov. the first 2 have an area of 200 by 200 while gm is 226 by 227. I actually cud not specify area in bonn motion as I dont how to do that. i shd have set all the areas to be the same. on the tcl script, I set the area to be 230 by 230 and I am still getting the error .. node 1 is not defined ... plsss I need an idea on how to solve it. Hello Mike, Thanks for your response. I actually installed ns 2.34 on Ubuntu 9.10 using the ppa package by wouter. I did not use the ns allinone package. What happens is that I can run cbrgen and it generates a traffic file but running setdest always gives the error: bash: ./setdest: No such file or directory. That was the genesis of the problem. I have tried all the things I listed in the mail below but it still does not work.Actually confused and dont know what to do next as I have not even started the main thought process for my thesis which is due early next month. Pls I need ur advice. I paid soo muuch (through my nose) for this masters and failure is not an option. Thanks as I wait for your replies. Pls all ns users, help me out.
