[NSP] Re: 7 key Evans set for sale

2009-07-31 Thread Patrick Jones
   Thank-you for the clarification fellows.

I've been sending British-made instruments back to GB for years. I
always write instrument manufactured in England returning to England
on the customs form and have never had anyone have to pay duty. I
   guess ignorance is bliss.

Best that folks not assume they'll continue to be the beneficiaries of
   my dumb luck. :)

I think it's cranky of the Britts to charge their own citizens customs
on stuff made by their own citizens. You guys should throw some tea
into a harbor. It worked wonders for us. ;0)

 CR

I certainly think that's true- duty and also VAT.

[NSP] 7 key Evans set for sale

2009-07-28 Thread Patrick Jones
   Greetings NSPers,

I am (still) selling my personal set of Evans pipes. It's a lovely
7-key set with no issues at all. I will ship free worldwide. There are
   pictures and more information here:

   [1]https://www.irishflutestore.com/newsite/products.php?c1=107

There will be no customs to pay for anyone purchasing in Great Britain
as the pipes were manufactured there. This beautiful set deserves to be
played and I just don't get it done (far too many irons in the fire).

   All offers will be considered.

As I am also (when not being a veterinarian) in the intrument business,
most instruments are the same as cash to me. So feel free to make an
offer or trades or dough as you wish. :)

[NSP] Set Wanted

2008-03-17 Thread Patrick Jones
Hello my Northumbrian-obsessed friends,

I sold my pipes about six months ago and have been regretting it. Would
like very much to mend my ways with a nice F or G set.

My daughter's getting married and I'm building a new vet clinic so cash is
tighter than usual. But, I can offer the mind-boggling array of delectable
dandies at irishflutestore.com as potential fodder for trades. I have some
nice Hamish Moore SSP in D and, obviously, some wonderful flutes and
whistles by some of the biggest names in the business.

Anyway, if anyone is up for a swap of some kind let me know.

Thanks much,

Patrick Jones, DVM
