Drunken disclaimer:
If either person fails to fulfill his obligations whilst drunk then he can
be called nay manner of names such as Quisling, Fifth Columnist, Turncoat
and Dirty Liar.

Being drunk involves having had more than six schooners or equivalent.
Until that point, the loser must bite their tongue and fulfill their
obligations.

Re: [BTMO] Away form

2011-02-13 Thread Steven Millward
So this is the arrangement (from 14 Feb to end of 2010/11 season)?

*Away points*

*Relegated*

*Not relegated*

*0, 1 or 2*

Marcus Wins

No result

*3*

No result

No result

*4 or more*

No result

Steve wins

Marcus wins = Steve has to call for Mick's head and must never offer a word
of support for him again either in person or in any written form.

Steve wins = Marcus must publicly support Mick and must never speak ill of
him again in person or via written communication.

No result = Back to normal bickering.

Note, the change in support for Mick must be genuine and a loser must make
every effort to be convincing in his views.

I'll take the bet if it's relegation *and* 2 or 1 or 0 points away then I'll
agree that Mick is indeed Thick

However for *3 or more* points away *and relegation* then it's even stevens
and we carry on as before, as a kind of neutral territory

That's a projection, not a forecast, and so is of no value. If only
football results could be projected

Forget stats - we're either coming good or going to hell in a handbasket.

It's 19 points or 7 and grudge matches against Leyton Orient :-P

Subject: [BTMO] Away form

So far this season we have averaged 0.31 points per game, so with 6 away
games remaining we should expect a return of 1.85 points. Given 1.85 is an
impossibility, we are either going to draw one game or over-achieve and draw
2 games. Either way, it doesn't look particularly rosy.

But we should never let stats get in the way of a good story or prediction.
