Simon, you can always do the Maya route, export FBX camera from Nuke and import into Maya, rename the camera into something useful and export the camera again as a Maya ASCII file and import into AE. Lycka till Jens On Mon, Jul 11, 2011 at 10:36 AM, Artur Margiv margi...@gmail.com wrote: try

[Nuke-users] Colorspace node and sRGB

2011-07-11 Thread James Etherington
Hello, I'm probably missing something really obvious here but I don't get the same results when I use a Log2Lin node followed by a gamma node set to 2.2 compared to using a colorspace node set to out sRGB. I've tried bringing in my Log footage as Cineon and as raw then a log2lin node. Any ideas?

sRGB is not the same as gamma 2.2. sRGB has a linear segment near 0. See Bill's page for the exact formula: http://mysite.verizon.net/spitzak/conversion/srgb.html Regards, Thorsten Thorsten Kaufmann Head of Production MACKEVISION Medien Design GmbH, Stuttgart

Also, beware of the fact that the sRGB conversion in the Read node clamps the values at 1. However, the colorspace node doesn't clamp at 1. Hepp, .patrick On Mon, Jul 11, 2011 at 1:38 PM, James Etherington james.ethering...@gmail.com wrote: Cheers for that Thorsten On Mon, Jul 11, 2011

Hi Ron, You can bake knobChanged callbacks (or other callbacks like onCreate) into a node by filling its hidden knobChanged knob with your desired code as a string. For example: n = nuke.createNode('Blur') n['knobChanged'].setValue('if nuke.thisKnob().name() == size: print size knob changed')
