At various places in Manhattan, a modest variety of warblers were
found, a few already having been reported from particular locations
noted again today, and some not.
A Yellow-breasted Chat, as well as an Ovenbird, each continue on at
Bryant Park in
There was a mildly entertaining, though not as heavy as hoped for, flight of
diurnal migrant passerines at Fort Tilden this morning.
Some totals (in no particular order) of westbound birds tallied from 7:30-9:30
AM:
Red-winged Blackbird- 830
Common Grackle- 355
Brown-headed Cowbird- 30
Rusty
While working at Somnia, Inc. on Commerce Rd. in New Rochelle I saw a pair of
Peregrine Falcons calling and flying around the tallest building in the city
which is easily seen from where I was. One bird was carrying a dead pigeon and
both were circling and landing on the building for about a

I received a call from Jerry Lazarcyk who said the Troupial in Roslyn was not
seen today as far he knows . there were up to 15 people looking for the bird
through about 3:30-4 PM. I don't think the Baltimore Oriole was seen either
