Seeing the recent posts related to the subject and being Chairman of the Avian Records Committee of the Edgar A. Mearns Bird Club in Orange County I can tell you that there are NO records of Osprey nesting at any time in our county. It is an issue that I try to remain conscious of because there

Hi Rob and all,
Although possibly not relevant to the map per se, Ospreys have markedly changed
their distribution along New York's ocean coast. Whereas the islands off the

Joshua,
Thanks for posting to the listserves. I have said this in the past and I'll say

Not much at low tide from sunrise to 7am- only a few dozen shorebirds
including semi palmated sandpipers and plovers, and 2 spotted sandpipers.
Saw 10 Great Egrets and a Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, and a Clapper
Rail. Recommend the sandbar as a reliable spot in the early am to find
Clapper
Greetings NY Birders,
I’m working on revising the range map for Ospreys for the Birds of
North America project. I’ve found that checking in to state birding listservs
has been a productive way of gathering information for the project.
