Just saw on the ABA FB group with a photo that a Black-headed Grosbeak was
found in Westchester Co. today, but seems the person doesn't want visitors
since they took down the post after getting an id. and didn't give a location.
A shame. Been waiting for years to get one of them in NY:-(

Back in the '90s a Spotted Redshank showed up in Brooklyn in a marina during
the winter which I was able to see nicely. The question is there were two or
three Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks with the Redshank and a few yellowlegs and

I saw your eBird report and attempted to relocate the Yellow-headed Blackbird
yesterday morning. I found what I presume is the same large Brown-headed
Cowbird flock about a mile away on Graney Road. They are feeding at Bickford

I was surprised by an apparent yellow-headed blackbird in a flock of cowbirds
in my neighbors tree on Saturday morning. Unfortunately I only viewed the bird
for a few moments and the entire flock disappeared when I ducked into the
vehicle to grab my camera. I have no idea if this flock is
