briefly, but I got some bad
photos before it was chased off by a Red-winged Blackbird. I could not relocate
the bird after that, but I don't think it left the area, so it's possible the
bird may continue there.

The Martin was still being seen by Matthieu Benoit, Janet Labelle and I through
about 6:50 this evening. Toward the end of the day, it was foraging more over
the north side of the peninsula.

Late this afternoon, there was a very nice drake BARROW'S GOLDENEYE which I
viewed from Orchard Beach as it foraged with a raft of Common Goldeneye just
off High Island (the island with the big antennas). The bird was still there
when I left.

11/29, in the small saltmarsh northwest of the landfill, I flushed a Wilson's
Snipe. Other uncommon species included American Woodcock, Orange-crowned
Warbler, American Pipit, Field Sparrow, and White-crowned Sparrow.

nice highlights. Scanning from the beach south of Playland Pond, we found 1
Razorbill, over 400 Long-tailed Ducks, ~20 White-winged Scoters, 13 Black
Scoters and 2 Purple Sandpipers. On Playland Lake and

We did not see the Orange-crowned, but a Juv. Cooper's Hawk passed through the
lot. I was with Jack Rothman and later joined by Arie Gilbert and Gene Loscalzo
who and also got great views.

the id) was foraging along with a red-breasted nuthatch and a myrtle warbler.
1-2 eastern bluebirds at the Upper Lobe.
At Sparrow Rock, juncos were numerous and there was one field sparrow with them.
