There are also juvenile Semipalmated and Least Sandpipers, one Lesser
Yellowlegs, a handful of Semipalmated Plovers on the runways (with a few dozen
mixed swallow species). Surely much more to be discovered.

I saw the Cassin's Kingbird at the previously reported spot on the north
side of the community garden - was giving great photo ops - also saw a
pheasant fly over one the fields near Flatbush Ave around the north side

This morning I led a trip for the Brooklyn Bird Club to Floyd Bennett Field and
the adjacent Dead Horse Bay. Our start at sunrise allowed us time to find a few

There was spectacular activity at Floyd Bennett today with highlights including
an Eastern Meadowlark, American Pipits, Pine Siskins, Vesper Sparrow, an early
Fox Sparrow and eighteen White-crowned Sparrows.

An excursion to Floyd Bennett Field with Lila and Richard Fried was quite
successful this morning, as we encountered 3 of the Juvenile BUFF-BREASTED
SANDPIPERS continuing from earlier in the week and were treated to stellar
