[OM Cooker] OpenMandriva Lx 3 pre-beta for FOSDEM

2016-01-28 Thread Tomasz Gajc
Hi,

i've prepared pre-beta OpenMandriva Lx 3 for FOSDEM.

https://abf.io/platforms/cooker/products/136/product_build_lists/14222

Please give it a testing.
This iso carries latest software, like Plasma 5.5.4 etc.

This ISO is special because it supports LXQt and Hawaii desktops. User can
choose from login manager which desktop he want to log in. By default
Plasma is enabled.

Re: [OM Cooker] resolvconf is coming back via openresolv

2016-03-07 Thread Tomasz Gajc
No.

problem lies in VPN software or any other software that can't handle
systemd.network interface available for more than 2 years.
https://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/systemd.network.html

I think it's better to fix openvpn or anyother vpn software which is used
rather than to break working chain with ancient software.

Please descibe what does it mean "it doesn't boot"!!

Does it mean:
1. System does not start after BIOS/EFI is finished
2. Grub2 does not start or hangs
3. Grub2 starts but it freezez or there are errors on screen
4. Display Manager starts but it hangs or crashes
5. Plasma 5 starts but it hangs or crashes

Re: [OM Cooker] can we have xscreensaver off by default?

2016-03-30 Thread Tomasz Gajc
My idea:
1. Do not require xscreensaver at all
2. Adapt kscreenlocker QML script to display images from
distro-theme-OpenMandriva-screensaver
3. Everybody is happy

Here is the QML:
https://github.com/KDE/kscreenlocker/blob/master/greeter/fallbacktheme/LockScreen.qml#L49

Patch should provide a function that will display in name order images from
/usr/share/mdk/screensaver/
Function should display next image after X seconds.

Re: [OM Cooker] requests for beta release

2016-03-30 Thread Tomasz Gajc
Joel most of these are UX related requirements.

1. Naming in menu - i've set by default "description,name" because for new
users "Web browser" means more that firefox or qupzilla

Imagine that new user tries to browse web, and we abandoned firefox in
favour of qupzilla. I'm not sure that user will go directly to qupzilla
because he knows it is Web browser and will allow him to browse his
favourite sites.

2. Background - we are using everywhere same background, starting from:
* grub2 theme
* plymouth theme
* sddm theme
* Plasma/LXQt desktop background

See screenshots https://sourceforge.net/projects/openmandriva/

3. Plasma colours - our Artwork team decided that we should use Breeze
theme in Plasma 5. If Artwork agrees to change colors to from different
theme then why not.

4. om-welcome is not included - looking for a volunteer who is going to
adapt it to current state of Lx 3.

[OM Cooker] ncurses on armv7hl

Looks like only on armv7hl ncurses does not build/install terminfo files

You may see messages regarding extended capabilities, e.g., AX.
These are extended terminal capabilities which are compiled

If you have ncurses 4.2 applications, you should read the INSTALL

[OM Cooker] Clean cooker repositories

2016-05-17 Thread Tomasz Gajc
Hi,

after migration from abf.io, it looks like old packages are not removed
from repository when new package got published. I guess it's because we
started with cleand build ids database.

In repos we have this situation:
foo-1.0-1omv2015.0.x86_64.rpm
foo-1.0-2omv2015.0.x86_64.rpm

Does anyone have a nice script or want to write one that will clean our
repos for all architectures ?

Doing such will save much space and time when generating hdlists.

Cheers.

Looks like openhub does not support mass git repositories import (i've
already asked support for help on that).

Anyways i've imported couple of github repositories. You can take a look on
some nice statisctics.

Fedya that sounds good. Do you have any name scheme for new branch on
github repository and rpm files repository on abf-downloads?

For example: "3", "Release3", "3.0"

Re: [OM Cooker] LLVM/clang 3.7 does not build on 2014.x

2016-05-10 Thread Tomasz Gajc
Bero i've pushed 3.8.0 to 2014.x and unfortunately it does not build.

../projects/compiler-rt/lib/interception/../sanitizer_common/sanitizer_internal_defs.h:260:72:
error: size of array 'assertion_failed__36' is negative
 typedef char IMPL_PASTE(assertion_failed_##_, line)[2*(int)(pred)-1]

Can you please help ?

Looking on github.com would take 5 seconds and you would have answer.

I have feeling that nobody created a script that creates new branch for all
15+ k of github repositories. You can be the first one!

[OM Cooker] KDE's Project Neon Begins Publishing Daily Wayland Images

Guess what an one-man team is going to release iso on daily routine. And
nobody there bats an eye for unresolved bugs on lauchpad.net related to
Wayland, Xwayland and Plasma 5.

When this can be achieved here instead of hiding work into drawer for
years?
