If streamsocket depends on the socket stuff, then I think it properly
belongs in the rxock docs. Location based on inheritance hierarchy
would imply that all classes belong on the reference because they are
all subclasses of Object. That said, I think we need to have pointers
in the reference

Here's a thought. Maybe rxftp should be merged in with the Rxsock
information + socket + streamsocket to produce an ooRexx Networking
manual. Then when things like SMTP and MIME are ready, those have an
obvious home waiting for them as well.

Hello,
A little bit off topic but can someone point me
to an example of using sockets with ooRexx (or
an NNTP cient implementation in ooRexx).
greetings,

Do you know of a VM/CMS workalike that runs under SUSE?

Yes, the solution is always have the already overbooked core team do
more. I'm getting tired of that answer too.

Well, you can run VM/CMS on top of Hercules System/370, ESA/390, and
z/Architecture Emulator
http://www.hercules-390.org/
Of course you have to have VM to run it!

I like the idea of a networking manual, but still like the idea of

Have you looked at PigIron http://pigiron.sourceforge.net yet? In the

Rick, I sure hope that you do not pull the plug... there are many of
us who appreciate the work that you and the rest of the core team have
put into ooRexx --- and I suspect that some, like me, did not know
where, or how, to start. I did ask questions and Mark M, answered far
more quickly

Here's a couple of thoughts:
Bring BSF4Rexx and Rony in as deep as you can drag him/them.
Image BSF4Rexx and then RexxJSock ... no more compiling
funky C
From a first thought I would probably go to rxsock to find the doc on
streamsocket, (because I am thinking sockets at the time) so maybe the
doc should be there, with a comment in the rexref that the
documentation is actually in rxsock.
Likewise, I think that other external packages should
