I was wondering what others are doing in giving their member libraries
permissions to change Library Settings. For instance, we can see that it
would be good for a library to control their own reshelving period but we
don't necessarily want them to be able to change what fields are required in
We assign update permissions to those settings we want library staff
to be able to change, then give the staff those permissions at the
system level. We don't give them the all settings permission, so they
can only change the settings we let them.
They can, however, see all the settings
control this carefully via permissions.
Hope that helps!

I have set up a regex for this [Dd2]{1}[0-9]{9,13} which is designed to
allow for 10-14 digit barcodes that can begin with d (small or upper case)
or a 2. I entered this in the library setting at the top level (c/w mars)
and it seems to do nothing. I thought it would validate the data entered
It's entirely possible this is different for your library than mine, but I
found this setting in
Admin Local Administration Library Settings Editor. Then a list of
different settings appears, including one for Change reshelving status
interval. The edit button is on the left of the setting
