Greetings all!
I recently wanted to familiarize myself better with many of the console
commands and among them I tried my hand at using the console to create a new
region while in-world. I came upon the following issue:
I'd already created my first region, named TestRegion in the normal

That used to work, but was broken some months ago.

Are there any plans to fix this bug? (or fix whatever has been broken?)
It's extremely hard to update documentation, or write tutorials when things
are constantly breaking or not working.
Len, maybe wait for the latest OpenSim 0.7 RC to get
The new Naali UI really does look sweet!!
Could we have BOTH a new icon based UI, and also the option to turn on
classic mode (which would have the old legacy-type tool bar menu at the
top of the screen) Also have a disappear option on the toolbar that you
can turn on and off. That way if you
I really do love the idea of having a nice navigation UI that can either be
used with a touchscreen computer, and/or a wireless XBOX 360 remote. Apple
has always done a great job with UI's, and it looks like Naali is doing an
excellent job of bringing a great new UI to OpenSim/RealXtend.

I'm pretty excited about the Naali work. I've got a Nokia N900 cellphone. The
screen is 800x480 pixels on a 3.5 inch screen. It has touch and an
accelorameter. More importantly, it is a pretty nice unix development
environment. I hope to try a port soon, and I'm interested in efforts that
Yeah, I'll keep watch and see. It's not a huge issue since a simple server
reboot corrects the matter, but I can see where it will be a major headache
in a more production-centric environment where new regions need to be
created on the fly in standalone mode.

Hi,
please don't treat OpenSim as a product. OpenSim is a toolkit and
a sample application and it is pre-alpha.
I really don't like to see the expectation of Fully working,
because OpenSim is written and rewritten at such a rapid rate that
Fully working is not likely to happen anytime soon.
Yeah, you're completely correct that it's still pre-alpha in status. I
fully understand that.
I didn't mean it how it came across, my expectation is definitely not one of
reliable stability at this early hour in OpenSim development. I more
intended to indicate that this issue with new region
