The problem is gone after backward to bfu b73(my original installation).
Should I file a bug?
Thanks,

Hi,
I've just got a couple of Supermicro PDSME boards to build a couple of
Solaris boxes to use as NAS devices.
These boards have 2 x Intel single-port 82573 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet
Controllers.
I've installed SXCE b77 on one of these boards and no driver seems to be
loaded for these NICs.
From application(database, middleware, etc.)'s perspective, do Solaris10
and OpenSolaris (Nevada or Indiana in future) provide the same
interface/compatiblity? That is say if an application is certificed in
Solaris10, does it mean it can also run smoothly on OpenSolaris
automatically? If not, what
I know this is a big list, and it's around 3.6K applications certified
on Solaris10/x86. Is there a point that end user can search whether an
application is certified or not?
Thanks, Frank

When I click on the send link entry in Firefox, I will be directed to the
write dialog window in Thunderbird where I can send the link URL to the bcc
address that I have pre-configured.
This is in SXCD, everything is working as expected. However, in Solaris 10,
the write dialog window does

For various reasons, people occasionally need to download older versions
of SXCE than the very latest (for example, 77 is broken for xVM ISO
install due to hsfs bugs).
Finding out how to do this is truly miserable. Can we have links to
older DVDs on the download page:

XDM is the facility that allows a remote client to access a full desktop on a
Unix or Linux server which is very useful for me to admin remote servers. The
protocol it uses is called XDMCP. However, XDM is not enabled by default in
OpenSolaris.
I am using Nevada V76, I am wondering how to

There is a bug in gdm which won't let you enable XDMCP. I don't know when it
will be fixed, but a patch can be found here:

Here's how we do it. We use Gnome and not CDE, don't know if CDE is different.

For those of you interested Opensolaris types in the L, A, area tonight I

I am trying to index a source code tree and there are several files that are
access restricted. So as a result, I get the indexing to stop with
Exceptions(Access is Denied). I tried using the -i option and it does work.
But the same option is tedious if I have around 65 files that I need to

Hi:
I gave up attempting to install Solaris10 nv77 on my Dell XPS-720 SATA drives
(see about 6 posts ago for problem there - basically the nv_sata driver wouldn't
recognize directly connected SATA drives).
Instead I decided to install Solaris10 nv77 onto 300GB Seagate drives connected
