impl_kombu, I would not expect it to work. Once nova was configured to
use the right driver for this setup (impl_qpid), it worked, so I don't

If you're just doing basic testing, you can use this little hack:
$ sudo truncate --size 20G ~/nova-volumes
$ sudo losetup -fv ~/nova-volumes
$ sudo vgcreate nova-volumes /dev/loop0
