Hi @all, I like the idea of alternate meetings, so everybody get a chance to make it at decent hours (I can't complaint about that). About the suggested time(any time will have it upsides and downs) 0700UTC, could be a good option (Sorry for the people on the East Coast, but I think our 'population' there is minimal), although something earlier is ok to me. See you all in Atlanta! Actually, it's probably best that we don't do the first meeting at a US-unfriendly timezone in a week that the summit is on in Atlanta. Re: [openstack-dev] [TripleO] Alternating meeting time for more TZ friendliness
I think we need a timezone to cover the current impossible regions: - Australia - China / Japan - India Early evening for the UK - the current meeting time - is ok (sure, its not work hours, but its also not 5am :)) The further west it goes, the better for those regions. I suspect if we aim it to be ok for late night west coast usians - e.g. 11pm , then it will meet that goal and simultaneously be tolerable for myself (NZ), Clint(west coast US) and devananda (west coast US). -Rob -Rob On 20 March 2014 12:46, Steve Kowalik wrote: > On 19/03/14 06:57, James Slagle wrote: >> Our current meeting time is Tuesdays at 19:00 UTC. Next time I'll ask my pocket to delete it rather than send it. As I was trying to say, I think our priority should be maximizing the number of people who can attend, not maximizing for me attending. I worry that having alternating meetings will lead to having non-overlapping sets of people in the meetings, but even if that happens I'm not sure if it's worse than only having a subset of people in the meeting. I'd be happy to stick with 1900UTC if it means more people can regularly make the meeting, even if it means I can't make it all the time. Switching to alternating 1900 Tuesday and 2100 Wednesday would mean I could make more meetings, but I don't know how it would affect other people.
