for sort. And if there's need for 100k, only that much will be allocated. And

Hi!
Not entirely the truth. In huge reporting/OLAP
environments you just can't have that much memory that all sorts are running
entirely in memory. What you should look out for are multipass sorts, the ones
which require reading and writing the same to disk multiple times. So keep the
should always include an order by clause.

your block_size*db_file_multiblock_read_count. This might help in performance
when doing index fast full scans. Also, if you use striped disks, you might want
to match it with stripe width.

But don't rebuild your indexes daily, it's an

So how does case 2 benefit in terms of CPU or memory consumption ?
and there is a big diff. in response time between both cases...how ?

Hi!
Yes I believe InterConnect comes with Apps (technically with 9iAS).
The plus is that Oracle itself is developing it and it's probably a
strategic part in whole E-Business Suite. I believe it's running on Advanced
Queuing and Workflow.
The problem is, afaik, it's quite fresh product
and mail admin.
Don't know why some posts appear before others, could
be a simple explanation, could be a very complex one.
Not being a mail expert, I don't know which it is.
