*Definitely* not twitter. I, for one, don't use the likes of Twitter or Facebook I still vote for staying here or moving to a dedicated forum. As others have pointed out, Stackoverflow is *not* a good fit as a replacement. Not availale for announcements, and threads arbitrarily closed

With clusters, maybe. When I think about it, you might be right. I am just not sure how to create a class and a predefined cluster (for the customer) at the same time. That would need to be possible, to do multi-tenancy. There is also a limit on the number of clusters, so that also means a

I didn't say it should be used as a solution for multitenancy. I am just saying it can be used the same way as Tinkerpop's PartitionGraph. The thing is, one shouldn't partition any GRAPH database, because it's basically impossible from the nature of graph (well it's possible but one woudn't

Re: [orientdb] Best way to host many orient databases

Well, the whole idea of partitioning is to arrive at data separation. So clearly, if you want a graph to be homogenic, it can't be partitioned. Reading the ODB partitioning section, partitioning through the user permissions system sounds like a pretty good answer to the problem. In fact, for

[orientdb] Are the number of classes limited in a database?

2015-10-18 Thread scott molinari
If the creation of class also automatically creates a cluster, then I would imagine the same limit of 32K clusters is the limit on classes too? And is it also true, if additional clusters are added to a class, then the total number of available classes is also reduced? Scott -- --- You

Seems reasonable. I'm trying to picture how having 30K+ classes is a serious limit. I've seen ontologies that had a couple thousand classes, but those were usually through kitchen-sink-level of including other data schemas, with most of those classes unpopulated by data. I'm pretty sure I could
