Actually I slightly misunderstood Ed Cook's point concerning
the interlinear waw error possibility (of BT*W*LTW, with
*W* being the interlinear insertion). Cook was not saying the
interlinear waw itself was to be disregarded, but that the
scribe meant to write Qal (BTLWTW), wrote BTLTW by
Two temporary remarks:
1. It seems to me that according to Dr. Doudna's own reading, 'virgin' has a possible
context if
the second word in l. 3, which he reads 'bh[m', is simply 'bh'.
2. If we ought to look for the context for a virgin in this tiny fragment, I don't
quite see the
context for

all show wysb' This is significant and the comment of the Rabbis in Sifre
Deut to Deut 32:5 seems to cite it as well.

Can anyone tell me whether the recent works theories
on New and Absolute Chronology (Journal of Ancient
Chronology numbers 1 through 6; J. J. Bimson, D. Rohl
etc.) will affect the official Qumran archeological
findings and scrolls dating as given in Vermes and
GarcĂa
Obviously that should have been Deut 32, not Deut 2. So much for
my proofreading..
Can anyone tell me if Deut 32:15 was found at Qumran and if so how it reads.
